Let’s buy some stock with eToro. Here’s how
- Login to your dashboard
- Search for the stock you want to buy — you can either use the company name AAPL or Apple

- Click Trade Now
- If you need to deposit it will tell you
- Set your stop loss and take profit. You can use eToro‘s built-in charts to decide. I always use 1x leverage — this means that there is no cost to the trade and the only way I can completely lose is if the company goes bust.
- Click TRADE NOW
If the markets are shut then your trade will be an order that will wait till the market is open before it places. It’s the same process for buying Crypto and other devices. Easy. Then you can see your portfolio. If you only have a small amount to invest I would suggest (but you decide, education only) getting invested in a number of devices with small amounts rather than putting it all into one thing — not everything you will invest in will make money and don’t invest what you can’t afford to lose.
If you want to use higher leverage (where you effectively borrow from the broker) you can lose your money if things go against you. Remember you won’t always win — there will be losses.
