Two friends of mine are interested (one been in a while), in Cruise Liner stocks. As we know during Covid there has been a lot of problems with these Liners, passengers being quarantined into their cabins and then eventually the fleet just lying idle.
Royal Caribean Cruises RCL
However, we are coming out of Lockdown which should see a surge in bookings, although there is some uncertainty still. So I took a look at a few RCL Royal Carribian is a good buy but not yet, I’d like to buy in at $73.64 or around that price in a bounce off of the bottom channel.
So an alert at $74.00 is appropriate or shorting down to $74 for now. If it breaks the upper channel we’d be looking to buy at dips. But I wouldn’t buy it at this point.
We have earnings for RCL on 22nd April, So I should imagine there will be a lack of volume in anticipation of making $73/$74 a good buy as the market prices in good earnings from bookings.
Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings LTD
A very similar picture with NCLH, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.
Although it’s a rising wedge which I prefer, again I have set an alert at $26.08, it’s likely to break the upper end of the wedge and it’s just had earnings in. I am tempted to take a Long on this stock now as it doesn’t have to come back to far to hit the bottom of the wedge.
Based on these two I think that the stocks will fall slightly further and bounce off of the lower trend lines. So I am reliant on my alerts in TradingView. You can set alerts in eToro as well. But buying now? Slightly too early for me on RCL unless I was doing dollar-cost averaging, which there is scope to do on NCLH as it has dropped nearly to the bounce point on Friday. Not wishing to miss the boat (sorry), I think I’m going to take a small position and add more if it continues to drop looking to stop adding when my alert hits and then build profits.
So RCL — no, NCLH just put in an order at market, I’m hoping it will open lower and give me a good price. Maybe enough for a nice Cruise.
